BATTLE’S OVER
NATIONAL BEACON LIGHTING EVENT
on
SUNDAY, 11TH NOVEMBER 2018
from 5.30pm to 7.30 pm (approx.)
At 6pm, the Dorset Youth Marching Band will lead the procession from The Square, passed the Royal British Legion and up to the Wimborne Cemetery. There, war graves will be illuminated, accounts from the Great War retold and a specially commissioned beacon will be lit at 7pm. This will be followed by an International Cry for Peace from Wimborne Minster’s Town Crier.
