Pre-purchasing a burial plot within Wimborne Cemetery

Please Note: This form is only to be used for pre-purchasing a new grave in advance of it being required. If a new grave needs to be purchased for a forthcoming burial, the Interment Notice includes the option to purchase a new grave for the burial.

For adults, there are two types of plots available for purchase:

Earthen Grave (7’ x 3’) – a full-size grave which can hold two full burials and up to six sets of ashes caskets.
Cremation Plot (2’ x 2’) – a grave for up to four sets of ashes caskets.

Booking a burial within Wimborne Cemetery

If you would like to book a burial within Wimborne Cemetery, whether in a pre-purchased grave or if you’re purchasing a new grave for the burial, please complete and submit the Interment Notice form below:

Scattering ashes within Wimborne Cemetery

Apply for the right to erect or amend a memorial

If you would like to apply for the right to erect a new memorial, or have an additional inscription added to an existing memorial, please complete, and submit the Memorial Application form below:

Please Note: Only the Exclusive Right of Burial (ERoB) holder/s for the grave are entitled to erect or maintain, or add an additional inscription to, a memorial. If the ERoB is owned by more than one person, ALL owners must sign the form. If the ERoB lies with the deceased and only the deceased, the ERoB must first be transferred before memorial works can take place. Please contact the Cemetery Clerk for guidance. This form is usually filled out by or with the aid of a stonemason.
